The university accepted the participants of the 23rd Congress of the World lawyers’ association

Information: the World lawyers’ association (further – WLA) is the largest and the most influential international organization of lawyers, which unites the complete spectrum of profile associations (World association of judges, World association of bars, World association of law professors, World association on problems of economic law).
WLA was founded in 1963 on the first Congress which took place in the USA under patronage of that time President of the USA Lyndon Johnson. The formation of the Association became a respond to the necessity to create the opened forum, where judges, advocates, professors of law, and all relating to the law-making and law-implementing processes would unite the opinions and efforts for strengthening and activating influence of international legal public on development of international law in particular and on the processes of international social and political life on the whole.

The tax militia faculty is a great family with glorious traditions

“I swear allegiance to the Ukrainian people; I swear to be honest, brave, to watch closely economic interests of our Motherland.” On October, 16, 2009 these words were repeated by 239 freshmen cadets of the tax militia faculty.
The tax militia faculty is a great family with glorious traditions. During its 12 year history the faculty trained 1 658 tax officers out of which 370 graduates obtained honours diplomas.
On the educational base of the faculty 3 252 tax militia officers did the courses of starting training, 2 683 tax officers promoted their qualification. For great achievements in educational and scientific work while studying at the university 9 graduates were recorded to the University’s Gold honours book, 5 students of different years of study were the grant holders of the President of Ukraine, once – by the grant holders of the Cabinet of Ministers, Verkhovna Rada, STA of Ukraine, of M.S. Hrushevsky grant.

The VIIth Interuniversity students’ scientific and practical conference took place

The VII^th Interuniversity students’ scientific and practical conference«Mathematical models in taxation, business and economy» took place. Accounting-economic faculty and department of statistics and mathematical methods in economics have become its organizers.

The students of the National university of the Ukrainian STS, members of «Analyst», the scientific society of the department of the statistics and mathematical methods in economics, representatives of the Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National university, the Academy of municipal management (Kyiv), «EKOMEN» Kyiv economic institute of management, National university «Kyiv-Mohyla academy», Odessa State economic university, Uzhgorod National university, Zhytomyr State technological university, Institute of social and cultural communications and management of the State academy of culture and arts executives, Academy of custom service of Ukraine (Dnipropetrovsk) took part in the conference.

International scientific and practical seminar

During last few years in Ukraine there formed not a simple situation in the field of economics and taxation: there is a permanent growth of quantity of individuals and organized units, which, using blanks in the current legislation, accumulate considerable incomes; transparency of the Ukrainian boundaries is actively used for legalization (laundering) of profits, obtained in a criminal way. These phenomena undermine the financial and economic system of the state, threatening to the national safety of Ukraine.

By these reasons on December, 10, 2009 the international scientific and practicalseminar «Problems of improvement of legislation and practice of criminality counteraction in the field of economic activity» took place on the base of the National STS university of Ukraine, the organizers of that seminar were: Faculty of training, retraining and in-plant training of tax militia officers, Department of investigation and search operations and Research institute of financial law.
