Law faculty
The Law department headed by the Candidate of judicial Sciences, associate professor Samilyk G.M. was founded in Irpin’ industrial college in 1995. The first
admission of students for studies on the program of junior specialist took place in 1995.

In 1996 on the base of this department the Faculty of Law was established
and Grigoryj M. Samilyk was appointed Dean of it. The
same year the Chair of Law began its work at the faculty, Samilyk G.M.
being the heard of it.
Four chairs were established in 1999: the Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal
Process and Criminalistics; Financial Law; Civil-Law subjects; Theory
and History of the State and Law.
In May, 1999 the faculty obtained accreditation of the second level and
got a license for training specialists. In May, 2000 the speciality “
Jurisprudence” was accredited at the third level and the first 70 lawers
graduated from the University.
In June, 2001 the faculty got a license for training Masters of Law.
The Dean of Faculty, Samilyk Grygoriy Mykhaylovych, the Candidate of judicial
Sciences, associate professor, the Honoured Lawer of Ukraine.
Samilyk G.M. got education in High School of MIA of the USSR in 1973 (speciality
– “Jurisprudence”).
He is the author of more than 50 scientific works.
There are 7 Doctors of judicial Sciences and 32 Candidates of judicial
Sciences at the faculty.
Over 130 students are the members of the students’ scientific society
and they take part in conferences which are held by the university and
outside of it.
The post-graduate study was set up at the faculty in the following specialities:
“Theory of Management, Administrative Law and Process, Financial Law,
Informative Law”; “ Criminal Process and Criminalistics, Judicial Examination”,
and the specialized Scientific Council functions in speciality 12.00.07.
Studies for the educational qualification “Specialist” are conducted in
specializations: “Financial Law,” “Court, Prosecuting Magistracy, Advocacy”.
Training for Master’s Degree is carried out on two programs: “The legal
ensuring of financial activity of the state”, “Organization and administration
of legal work in the bodies of STS”.
There are 1,100 students at the faculty. On finishing the Faculty of Law
graduates will be able to work:
in the bodies of state tax service, state treasury, state
control–inspection service, financial departments;
in customs bodies, courts, prosecuting magistracy;
as lawers in the enterprises, agencies, organizations of any
form of ownership.
