The department of economy-law disciplines was founded on September, 1, 2007 and operates in accordance with the Law on education and higher education in Ukraine .
      According to the given license to the university the department realizes the educational and professional program of higher education on certain educational qualifying levels, provides teaching, education and professional training of persons according to their calling, interests, capabilities and normative requirements in the field of higher education, and also carries out research work.
       Matselyk Mykhaylo Olexiyovych, Candidate of legal sciences is the head of the department.
     In 2004 he graduated from the National academy of STS of Ukraine and obtained the Law master's degree.
     In 2005 Matselyk M.O. defended the dissertation on the subject "Administrative responsibility for avoiding taxation" on speciality 12.00.07. -"Theory of management; administrative law and process; financial law; information law".
     The department is profiling and provides teaching of such disciplines: economic law, economy-procedural law, economic legislation, agrarian law, legal adjusting of granting bank services, investment law, international commercial arbitration, legal adjusting of foreign-economic activity and others.
     The department carries out research work on the subject "Legal adjusting of economic disputes with participation of tax bodies".
     This work is carried out by 16 research-pedagogical officers, among them there are 5 candidates of legal sciences, associate professors and 8 senior teachers.
