The Dean of the faculty is Valentyna Pavlivna Unynets-Hodakivska, Candidate of economic sciences, Associate Professor.
Unynets-Hodakivska V.P. graduated from the geographical faculty of Kyiv Shevchenko state university in 1991.
In 1996 she graduated from Kyiv state economic university (financial management).
In 2001 she defended the Candidate dissertation.
Unynets-Hodakivska V.P. is the author of over 20 scientific works.

The peculiarity of the educational process at the financial faculty is combination of theoretical fundamental training with a special training in the sphere of taxation.
The faculty trains students on speciality of "Finances" (specializations: "Public Finances", "Insurance" "Financial monitoring", "Taxation", "Enterprise Finances") and "Banking").
At the faculty 16 Doctors, 45 Candidates of sciences, 69 senior teachers, 47 assistants teach.
At the faculty over 1500 students study.

While studying students do practical work in the bodies of the state tax service, state financial institutions of all levels, at the enterprises of various kinds of property, in banking institutions.
Ample opportunities on employment are open to specialists in the field of financial monitoring whose professional task is realization of the state policy in sphere of prevention and counteraction to legalization (laundering) of incomes and financial terrorism. They can work in such enforcement authorities, as State monitoring, the State tax administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Justice, Security Service of Ukraine, the State boundary service, the State commission on securities and stock market, National bank of Ukraine, etc.
