Inna Veniaminovna Zajtseva, Candidate of pedagogical sciences, Associate Professor heads the Department.
In 1991 she graduated from the pedagogical faculty of Lunacharsky Cherepovets state pedagogical institute, in 1997 she became the graduate of the Ukrainian financial and economic institute.
In 2001 she defended the Candidate's thesis.
The Department provides teaching of such subjects: "the Ukrainian language", "the Ukrainian literature", "the Ukrainian language of professional direction", "Cultural science", "the Foreign literature", "Oratorical skills", "Bibliography", "Working with taxpayers", "Communicative processes of the civil officer activity".
2 Associate Professors, 8 senior instructors, 8 teachers work at the Department. Such teachers as O.P. Kalita, L.M. Naumenko, S.S. Suprun, G.V. Skurativska, O.L. Chernaja work on the Candidates' theses on actual language, cultural and psychological-pedagogical problems.
The Department research work is carried out on the scheduled theme "Culture of STS officers' communication as one of the means of harmonization of relations with tax bearers. Theoretical and practical problems of communication in an official sphere".
Since 1999, within the framework of the Decade of the Department students scientific conferences on problems of humanitarian disciplines are traditionally carried out. Students and cadets, whose works were recognized the best, made their reports at university and interuniversity students' conferences.
Rather effective form of deepening of students' and cadets' knowledge is subject Olympiads which are annually carried out within the framework of the Department Decade.
Five students and cadets of our high school defended honour of our university in the second round of the International competition of the Ukrainian language experts by named after P.Jatsik, all were awarded with letters of gratitude and diplomas.
At the Department the circle on a standard of speech (its head is N.I. Zykun), poetic club "Prolisok" (O.P.Kalita heads it), club on interests "Lubystok" (the head is O.P. Dovgoruk) are functioning.
Since 2000 the International day of the native language is marked on February, 21. During classes and out of them almost 1000 students take part in language quizzes, competitions, lectures this day.
Within the framework of the Decade interesting mass actions - literary-poetic evenings, meetings of student's youth with poets, artists and etc. are annually carried out.
Close cooperation with G.P. Kochur Literary museum (Irpin), the National union of writers of Ukraine is set.
