College
Kyiv financial and economic college was created on December,
8, 1997 on the basis of Kyiv branch of the Ukrainian financial and economic
institute.
On December, 21, 1999 Kyiv financial and economic college becomes a structural
division of the STS Academy of Ukraine (since May, 19, 2006 – National
STS University of Ukraine) with preservation of the legal person status and
settles down to the legal address of the University.
The urgency of creation of the given higher educational institution is
caused by a sharp need in specialists on economy, law, financial and tax
activity in connection with transition of Ukraine to a new stage of market
relations.
 Director
of the college is Mykhaylo M. Piskun, tax service adviser of rank II, deserved
worker of national education.
The college is a higher educational institution of level accreditation I.
Training of specialists is carried out on the basis of 9 forms on specialties:
"Jurisprudence", "Accounting", "Finance" due
to the state budget, physical and legal persons' costs. The college students
can study in parallel at the military training faculty. Today the college
totals 37 academic group of the day time form of training (1060 students).
In connection with including of Kyiv financial and economic college in
the University astructure a number of positive aspects due to which the college
essentially differs from other educational institutions of such accreditation
level was determined:
– College students together with the University students have an
opportunity to use auditorium and library funds, computer classes, hostels,
canteen, cafe, sports base, to take part in work of the student's scientific
society, circles, sports sections, bodies of student's self-management,
the Cultural–art center "Suzirja";
– With the purpose of a college teaching level increase the
faculty of the University, including doctors and candidates of sciences,
post-graduate students, competitors of academic degree is involved into
educational process;
– By results of interview the college graduates have an opportunity to
continue training at the National STS University of Ukraine on the day time
or extra-mural forms of studying under the reduced programs, getting educational-qualifying
levels of bachelor, specialist, master.
The college graduates can work in tax inspections, control-auditing departments
and financial establishments, at the enterprises and in the organizations
of different patterns of ownership.
