| Center of the humanitarian education
The department of language and literature was created in January,
1997; since September, 1, 2003 it functions as the department of modern language
communications and culture.
The
head of the department is Natalia I. Zykun, candidate of philological science,
docent.
N.I. Zykun has over 40 scientific and scientific-methodical works, among them
manuals and articles. A circle of her scientific interests includes modern language
communications, communicative competence and culture, modern economic and law
language.
The department provides teaching of the following disciplines: "Ukrainian
language", "Ukrainian literature", "Ukrainian language in
a professional direction", "Cultural science", "Foreign
literature", "Oratorical skill", "Work with taxpayers",
"Communicative processes of a State employee activity".
The staff of the department of modern language communications and culture consists
of 18 persons, among them there are 2 docents.
The department research work is carried out on the subject "Culture of
the STS workers communication as one of means of harmonization of relations
with tax bearers. Theoretical and practical problems of communication in official
sphere".
Teachers of the department participate actively in scientific-practical conferences
and seminars, including international, on actual problems of the humanities.
Employees of the department took part in preparation and carrying out of a number
of conferences in the academy, in particular, "All-around development of
a student's personality" (2002), "Problems of training and education
humanization in a higher educational institution" (2003).
The results of the teachers' research work are reflected in the manuals materials.
Attraction of student's youth to the research and development work is one of
the forms of improving quality and efficiency of training future specialists.
Since 1999, within the framework of the department decade students' scientific
conferences on problems of humanitarian disciplines are traditionally carried
out. Students and cadets, whose works were recognized to be the best, made reports
at the academic and interuniversity student's conferences. In March, 2001 four
of them presented the scientific abstracts at the VII interuniversity scientific
students' conference held at the Kyiv Shevchenko National University. Two cadets
are awarded with letters of the Ministry of Education.
On May, 30, 2002 students and cadets of the tax militia faculty took part in
the interuniversity scientific-practical seminar in English "New technologies
of the XXI century and safety of professional activity of workers of tax service
and other law enforcement bodies".
The effective form of deepening of students and cadets knowledge are subject
Olympiads which are annually carried out within the framework of the department
Decade.
Five students and cadets of the academy protected the honor of their high school
in the II round of the International P. Jatsik competition of experts on the
Ukrainian language, all of them are awarded with letters.
At the department the circle on a standard of speech (the head is N.I.Zykun),
poetic club "Prolisok" (the head is E.P. Kalita), club on interests
"Lyubystok" (the head is E.P. Dovgoruk) operate.
The department staff carries out a big cultural-mass and cultural-educational
work. It became a tradition of holding the annual department Decade.
Since 2000, the International day of a native language is marked on February,
21. This day almost 1000 students are engaged in language quizzes, competitions,
lectures during classes and during leisure time.
Within the framework of the traditional department decade mass actions like
literary-poetic evenings, meetings of students with poets, artists, etc., are
annually carried out.
Close cooperation with G.P. Kochura's literary museum (Irpin) and the National
council of writers of Ukraine is established.
