The correspondence faculty was founded in 1955. Training of specialists with higher education on "Accounting and audit" speciality began in 1995. Nowadays the extramural faculty carries out training of specialists on the job with different levels of base education. The faculty trains specialists for the State tax service of Ukraine, Exchequer, control-auditing and financial departments and different branches of economy of Ukraine. Specialists with higher education can receive the second higher education of economic or legal direction. Graduates of technical schools, colleges, higher educational institutions have an opportunity to study under the integrated curricula. In the cities of Zhitomir, Simferopol, Vinnitsa and Storozhynets of Chernovtsy oblast regional correspondence faculties of the National STS University of Ukraine function.

The Dean of the correspondence faculty is Brishtina Victoria Viktorovna, Candidate of economic sciences, Associate Professor, adviser of tax service of rank I, honours worker of education of Ukraine. Training at educational-qualifying level "Bachelor" is carried out on following specialities:

– "Accounting and audit " ("Accounting and audit in industry", "Account and audit in budgetary organizations and establishments" specializations);
– "Taxation" ("Administration of information resources" specialization);
– "Finance" ("Public finances" specialization);
– "Economy of enterprise" (" Economy and taxation of enterprises" specialization);
– "Law-enforcement activity" ("Operative-search activity", "Criminal-procedural activity" specializations);
– Training at educational-qualifying "Specialist" level is carried out on such specialities as: "Law" ("Financial law" specialization);
–  "Accounting and audit" ("Accounting and audit in industry", "Accounting and audit in budgetary organizations and establishments", "Tax control and audit" specializations);
– "Finance" ("Public finances" specialization);
– "Economy of enterprise" ("Economy and taxation of enterprises" specialization).

Training at educational-qualifying level "Master" is carried out by such specialities as:
– "Law" ("Legal provision of the state financial activity", "Organization and management of legal work in STS bodies of Ukraine" specializations);
– "Accounting and audit" ("Accounting and audit in the taxation sphere", "Accounting and audit in management of budgetary financial organizations", "Auditing and state control over taxation system" specializations);
– "Finance" ("Management of public finances", "Management of finance in official bodies", "Management in the taxation sphere", "Administration of taxes and payments" specializations);
– "Economy of enterprise" ("Management of economic development of taxation subjects" specialization).
